1. Reservation and Booking:
1.1 All reservations are subject to availability.
1.2 Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM.
1.3 A 100% deposit is required for booking confirmation.
1.4 Payment must be made at the time of booking for confirmation; no payment will be accepted upon arrival.
1.5 Only bookings with 100% payment and a confirmation email are considered confirmed.
Terms and Conditions for Resident Booking at The Overhang
Discount Offer: Residents are eligible to receive a 15% discount on their booking at The Overhang.
Proof of Residency: The booking is only valid for residents who can provide a legal document confirming their residency or a valid work permit.
Confirmation Requirement:
The booking for residents is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email from The Overhang.
The confirmation email will include notification of the resident rate applied to the invoice.
Booking Amendment:
Any mistakes or discrepancies in the booking without a confirmation email with the resident rate cannot be changed by The Overhang. The Overhang is not able to modify or adjust bookings without proper confirmation of the resident rate.
Additional Terms:
The resident discount cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, or promotions unless otherwise stated.
The promotion is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefits.
The Overhang reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the promotion or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
General Terms and Conditions (below):
All bookings are subject to The Overhang’s standard terms and conditions of booking and stay.
By participating in the resident booking promotion, guests agree to abide by these terms and conditions and any decisions made by The Overhang regarding the promotion.
2. Cancellation Policy:
2.1 Cancellations made 30 days before the scheduled arrival date are eligible for a full refund.
2.2 Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date will incur a 100% cancellation fee on the booking.
3. Check-in and Check-out:
3.1 Normal Timing: The standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is at 11:00 AM.
3.2 Early Check-in and Late Check-out:
3.2.1 Subject to Availability: Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to room availability.
3.2.2 Additional Charges: Such requests may incur additional charges, and the guest will be notified of any applicable fees.
3.2.3 Confirmation: The hotel reserves the right to confirm or deny early check-in and late check-out requests based on operational requirements.
3.2.4 Pre-Notification: Guests are encouraged to notify the hotel in advance of their anticipated arrival and departure times to facilitate a smooth check-in and check-out process.
3.2.5 Flexibility: While the hotel aims to accommodate guest preferences, flexibility in early check-in and late check-out is contingent upon the overall occupancy and operational considerations.
3.2.6 Discretion: The hotel management holds the discretion to make exceptions to this policy based on specific circumstances.
4. Rates:
4.1 Rates are inclusive of VAT.
4.2 Rates do not include the tourist levy. A tourist levy of 1% per night per room, mandated by Tanzanian law, will be added as an extra charge.
4.3 Once booked, the rates on the day of booking will not change, even in the case of a cancellation.
5. Payment:
5.1 We do not accept cash payments. All transactions must be made through the following accepted methods: DPO, Credit Card, Bank transfer, or via Selcom. Any attempt to make a payment in cash will not be accepted. By proceeding with a transaction, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to this payment policy.
5.2 All costs other than accommodation costs shall be considered to be additional charges. Any additional charges incurred during the stay must be settled upon check-out.
6. Guest Responsibilities:
6.1 Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the hotel property during their stay.
6.2 Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hotel premises.
6.3 Guests are expected to adhere to noise regulations and be considerate of other guests.
7. Specials and Promotions:
7.1 Specials and promotions are subject to availability and specific terms outlined during the promotional period.
7.2 The hotel reserves the right to modify or terminate any specials or promotions at its discretion.
8. Food and Beverages:
8.1 The terms and conditions applicable to food and beverages are found in the Food and Beverages terms and conditions.
9. Parking
Parking for guests is available at the hotel. The hotel shall not be liable for any loss or damage of motor vehicles and their contents parked or driven on the hotel property.
10. Privacy Policy:
10.1 Guest information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
10.2 The hotel reserves the right to use guest reviews for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified.
10. Liability
10.1 The hotel shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the guest’s property except in cases of gross negligence.
10.2 The hotel shall not be liable for any harm caused to guests or their property by animals located on the hotel property.
11. Force Majeure:
The hotel is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.
12. Governing Law:
21.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania.
